SDCR tempered glass panels and railing frames have been field tested and utilized for decadesin harsh conditions. Tempered glass is utilized in other industries like automotive and as safety glass. We also offer laminated tempered glass for high rise, multi unit, and commercial
applications for extra protection.

A properly designed frameless glass system will not require a top railing to pass code. We offer full framed and frameless glass options for customers who do not desire top railings. Railings constructed without top rail may require thicker and/or laminated panels for safety and loading requirements.

The required height for glass railings varies by location and building codes. In most places, the standard height is around 36 inches for residential applications and 42 inches for commercial applications. Check your local building codes for specific requirements.

Depending on your location it is recommended to periodically clean your glass panels and railing components. The same products and techniques used to clean windows or mirrors in your home can be used to clean tempered panels. Microfiber cleaning cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner is sufficient for maintenance of glass panels.

The existing substrate whether it be a deck, tile, interior stair, etc. will often dictate the best way to mount a glass railing system. We offer a variety of posts, pegs, clips, and track solutions to

As glass panels are heavy and loads are considerable many recommendations are made for 5’ max spacing on glass panel railings. Always check with your local building department and
follow manufacturer guidelines for safest installation practices. Heavier glass panels, engineering, and/or full framing may allow for larger spans but 5’ is a general recommendation and safe practice guideline for these systems.

Yes. Our company offers both DIY packages and preferred installation for glass railing systems. Certain applications like level rail exterior fences/decks can be more DIY friendly than custom builds like interiors, stairs, angles etc. Contact our pros for the most effective and economical
